Thomas Wyatt Nigeria Plc. is the pioneer paper conversion and printing company in Nigeria. The company, formerly known as Thomas Wyatt
and Sons (West Africa) was incorporated on 18th, March 1948 as a private Limited Company and commenced business in 1949;
it became a public company in 1978. To meet the growing demand of the company products, two subsidiaries were incorporated namely. Thomas Wyatt
and Son (Northern Nigeria) Limited on 14th February 1961 with production factory in Kaduna and APEX (Eastern Nigeria) Limited on 13th September, 1962 in Port Harcourt. In April 2005, a core investor “MOOREHOUSE MANAGEMENT LIMITED” (MML) took over the
running of the company.
The shares of the company were initially held by foreigners but Nigerian equity participation in the company was realized in 1961 when 10.7% of the company’s shares were held by Nigerians.
