Thomas Wyatt Nigeria Plc. is the pioneer paper conversion and printing company in Nigeria. The company, formerly known as Thomas Wyatt and Sons (West Africa) was incorporated on the18th March, 1948 as a private Limited Company but, commenced business in 1949 and was made public in 1978. The quest for expansion and meeting our clients’ increasing products’ demands necessitated the incorporation of two of our subsidiaries namely: Thomas Wyatt and Son (Northern Nigeria) Limited on the 14th February, 1961 with the production factory in Kaduna and APEX (Eastern Nigeria) Limited on the 13th September, 1962 in Port Harcourt.
As a trail blazer, we pride ourselves as the pioneer of large scale printing and the manufacturing of school and office stationery, which hitherto were printed in the United Kingdom and imported into the country. On this wavelength, our company has continued to wax even stronger and have now institutionalized a company policy of steady expansion of the product lines and its manufacturing capacity. Interestingly, the company introduced the production of Toilet Rolls and Facial Tissue since 1983 under the “NAPEX” trademark and our array of products include exercise books, ruled papers, duplicated books, spiral and quarter bound books, photocopying and typing papers and full complement of envelopes. We also have the capacity to print calendars, diaries etc.
Our marketing distribution channels are basically through our depots in Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kaduna, Onitsha and Ibadan and our highly-networked distributors all over Nigeria. We also engage in direct marketing to our key customers. To maintain the lead and remain the leader of the pack, Apex Mill has now re-strategized to evolve with product differentiation and focus on the development and sale of higher end products as a cutting edge from competition.
